Sunday Zoo opens only on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), as English-speaking Okuno-san is busy elsewhere. A cozy cafe next to the canal between Kiyosumi and Kiba parks, its six seats are outnumbered by the varieties of coffees. Cups are ready for take out and its location is great to actually walk the paths that saw the Fukagawa area a warehouse and distribution center till the Taisho years, and that make it now a nice strolling destination.
