MOT tainai

After 16 or so years the MOT is closing for a long, long renovation.

In contrast with the truly long lines of the PIXAR 30 exhibit, the end of MOT-as-we-know it was a (silent) 20 min repeating projection in the front facades, and with plenty of space to sit down.

The Kiba & Kiyosumi-Shirakawa areas will in due course miss the weekend crowds. And one hopes the renewed MOT will improve in its mix of commercially successful exhibits, permanent exhibit, and helping bring “local” talent up to higher standards.

However, in the meantime something should be done periodically to keep the relation between “official” art and Kiyosumi-Shirakawa. I look forward to hear opinions, not only in the web but specially on the street.
